At Brighton School, teachers work with each child to help them thrive academically. They also build character, communication skills, and teamwork. The program is well-rounded, with hands-on learning and a focus on positive mindsets. Since 1982, the school has helped children grow in new ways.

Learning here is inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Students take overnight field trips and do projects that let them explore their world. In the classrooms, you will see children working at tables, on the floor, and in small groups. Teachers move between them, asking questions and offering a hand.

A visitor might notice children moving between activities without much fuss. Teachers speak to them in calm, direct voices. Projects on the walls show real work: sketches, maps, and writing from field trips. Grandpals and the salmon cycle are part of the year, too.

Doors open at 7:00 AM. A young child might start with quiet play or a book while others arrive. Teachers greet each family at the door. The morning settles into a predictable rhythm, so children know what comes next.

Midday often brings small-group learning, outdoor time, and lunch. Children might work on a project together, then head outside to run and climb. Meals and rest depend on the age group, so ask what your child's day looks like.

Afternoons slow down. Children may return to choice time, finish a project, or listen to a story. Before and after care runs until 5:30 PM. At pickup, teachers share a quick note about what your child did, ate, and enjoyed.
