How we see children

We see children as growing people, not just students. Our teachers work with each child to help them thrive academically, while also building character, communication skills, and teamwork. The program is well-rounded and provides hands-on learning and a focus on positive mindsets.

Since 1982, our school has helped children grow in new ways. Learning is inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Students take overnight field trips and do projects that let them explore their world.

Teachers work with each child on academics, character, communication, and teamwork. Rooms hold hands-on materials for small-group work. A teacher might sit beside a child at a table, ask what they notice, and let them try the next step first. Positive mindsets are practiced, not just praised.

The preschool, elementary, and middle school are Cognia-accredited. The school was named a 2026 Grade A School by Niche. Teachers work with each child to build academics alongside character, communication, and teamwork. For questions about enrollment or the school day, the Admissions Coordinator can help.

What you notice in practice

Teachers work with each child on academics, and also on character, communication skills, and teamwork. They get down at eye level, follow what a child is working on, and gather small groups around hands-on materials. The program is well-rounded, with a focus on positive mindsets.

Rooms are set up for hands-on learning, with materials children can reach and choose. The day moves between group time, focused work, and play, paced so children are not rushed. Teachers work with each child to help them thrive academically, and also build character, communication skills, and teamwork.
